Together the patient and I discuss treatment options that can variously incorporate and combine nature-based therapies with more traditional cognitive and behavioral strategies. These may include, but are not limited to, helping the patient to
- make good food choices and develop healthy patterns of eating
- incorporate movement as part of a daily routine
- choose and develop fulfilling hobbies
- include regular meditation and stillness
- achieve sleep that is rejuvenating
- prioritize rest
Treatments that engage these factors provide a more inclusive and supportive structure to better develop and maintain both physical health and mental well-being.
