I am keenly aware of the challenges women face when seeking mental health care. The expression of psychiatric symptoms is unique to each person and influenced by their experiences. Variations in treatment and management may be indicated for women based on stages in life, medical issues unique to women and managing psychiatric care through pregnancy.
I work with women to develop insight into themselves and how they interact within their various communities, gain perspective, and build and strengthen the behaviors, skills and interpersonal interactions that empower them. I help women understand their true, unique and individual selves, enabling them to be more effective in their endeavors, take initiative and build confidence and self-assuredness.
